my sister’s wedding garter

today is my sister’s birthday and i thought it would be fun to show you her wedding garter…

this is the only picture that i have of it and i’m guarding it with my life. i made her wedding garter back in the early days when i wasn’t as good as i am now with keeping track of pictures. i did take my own picture of it, but it is so small that it wasn’t even worth posting. so sad, i know.

my sister’s wedding itself was beyond regal. i’m talking ah-mazing. her wedding garter was the colors wine and chocolate. i used some left-over ribbon that was being used in other parts of her wedding. i think the brown satin bow was from the programs and then i’m not sure where the wine colored background came from. (joanna or mom, do you?)

suffice to say, this was, of course, a fun wedding garter to make. i loved every minute of it and still do to this day! i especially love that there is no way that under normal circumstances that my sister would have ever worn a wedding garter, but because i made it for her, she did and she was really happy and excited out it!

    aw thanks! uh…i have no clue where the wine ribbon came from but i do believe it was also part of the programs. and you are absolutely right, there is no way, under normal circumstances, i would have worn a garter. but i’m so glad that i did! thanks!!!

    The wine ribbon was a special order from a company in Washington or Oregan, can’t remember, but it was a special order. The ribbon, as well as the wedding, was special~~
