wedding garters in southern weddings magazine

December 7, 2009

i’ve gone southern, y’all! you’d think that four years of college in the south would be enough for me, but oh no! i’m so excited to share that my stylish wedding garters were featured in the ultra-fabulous 2010 southern weddings magazine. say what!?

here is the cover…

here is the “fab finds” section. my stylish wedding garters are in the bottom right…here is a blow up of the little feature…

what do you think? pretty neat, huh!?

yes, if you look closely, you will see that my website is incorrect. it happens. when you work for earned media (that is media that you didn’t pay for) then you have to be comfortable with giving up control of the outcome. and, while it obviously isn’t ideal, i’ll be ok! it isn’t that major! i’m really flattered and excited that southern weddings wanted to feature my stylish wedding garters!

(for the record…i own the web addresses http://www.thegartergirl.com and http://www.juliannesmith.com, but not gartergirl.com and whoever owns it won’t sell it to me. guess i’ll just have to work on trademarking “garter girl!”)

you can buy southern weddings magazine in stores or get your copy online here.

check back later this afternoon, because i’ll be sharing details on the six custom wedding garters that i designed for the southern weddings magazine photo shoot…

  1. aqua, leaf and gold
  2. blue, olive and slate
  3. cranberry, taupe, white and blue
  4. eggplant, raisin, plum and leaf
  5. turquoise, pink and gold
  6. tangerine, lemon and hot pink

leave a comment, let me know what you think!

Congratulations on the feature! That’s amazing. But, what a bummer about the url. That’s why if I was to ever produce a publication {which I don’t think I will as I couldn’t handle the headaches associated with it}, I would have the showcased vendors double-check their feature to check for errors along with my own proof reading.

The feature looks great! Congrats and I’m sure everyone knows http://www.thegartergirl.com, and if they don’t, I’d like to know what rock they’ve been hiding under 🙂

Congrats on the feature! Sorry they messed up the website… hopefully when people can’t find you, they’ll google you instead!

You are THE gartergirl and you should definitely work on trademarking that 🙂
