custom wedding garter spotlight…white, black, red, plaid and embroidered

your wedding garter is one of the easiest mementos to save from your wedding. it is small and completely customizable. in short, it is perfect! i made this lovely for a bride’s 5th anniversary celebration (hence the wedding date that is before i was in business!)…

it is white satin with a red/white/black plaid satin stripe and a black satin bow (2 inches wide). in black, i hand embroidered the couple’s monogram on the top and the wedding date on the bottom. the plaid was something that she saved from her wedding in 2004 and she sent it me to use for her anniversary wedding garter. i had some plaid ribbon left over, so i made her a little tossing wedding garter to match. the plaid matches her husband’s family tartan (he is scottish).

i loved making this wedding garter because it is an awesome example of fully customizing your wedding garter to match your wedding. it is something that the bride will be able to save until her next anniversary celebration!
